Should annual reports inform society? ❓ Following an engaging discussion within our WhatsApp group, we would like to share Alan Jagolinzer’s article discussing whether annual reports go far enough to meaningfully inform society. Jagolinzer, who is a Professor of Financial Accounting at the Cambridge Judge Business School, presents an argument that during current global pandemic, there’s a greater need to focus on a company’s short-term financial health. Therefore, annual accounts would be more useful if they went further than focusing on stakeholder risk to include the company’s societal impact. To read the full article click here.
