Welcome to our March monthly newsletter!

Check out our latest NGA updates below and let us know if you would like to get involved in any of our initiatives.

GENERAL UPDATE

As we go into March, we are starting to see the light at the end of the tunnel! In the UK, we have been given a road map to the end of lockdown. Though 21st June is a long way away, we are excited to have an end date in mind! ๐Ÿฅณ The global pandemic has had such a major impact on our lives and this period has been extremely difficult for us all. We hope that once this is over, we can have some sense of normality back.

As always, if you are finding the period particularly difficult, please remember that the NGA community is here to support you. Whether its accountancy related or for personal support, feel free to reach out to any of the team or our wider community within the WhatsApp group ๐Ÿ˜Š. Additionally, CABA charity provides a wide range of free services and self-help resources. To access these, click here.

PILLAR 2 UPDATE: Upcoming exams ๐Ÿ“œ

We would like to wish any members all the best for the upcoming March exam period. ๐Ÿคž๐Ÿพ To help you pass your exams from home, Learn Signal have complied โ€˜7 Tips on How to Pass your Accounting Exams from Homeโ€™. PILLAR 3 UPDATE: Will you be applying for the NGA's mentoring scheme this year?๐Ÿšจ

The NGA team will be piloting a Mentoring Scheme to help post qualified accountants from under-represented backgrounds build long term valuable relationships with successful individuals in the industry.

You will be provided with an experienced mentor who can offer advice and reassurance. Your mentor will not be able to get you a job or make decisions for you, but can support your professional development. They can also provide insight into career development, navigating the corporate world, or on how you can become more employable and tackle life after completing your qualification.

If this is something you are interested in, please fill out our 1-minute mentee survey and we will contact you in regards to the application process.

Please note that places are limited and a match cannot always be guaranteed.
